United Way Day of Action 2020

-Christmas Charities Year Round & -The Arc of Madison County

COVID-19 has affected our world, country, and local communities of Huntsville, AL. In an effort to help our great community, the MSBA team has participated in two major charitable drives.  The first was during the United Way Day of Action (June 30, 2020), where we collected essential items to support our community. These donations went to Christmas Charities Year Round, a non-profit organization that serves low-income families in Huntsville/Madison County, AL. They collect clothes, school supplies, household items, furniture, and medical equipment through the entire year to provide it to families at no cost.  The second event was for The Arc of Madison County to support our community members with disabilities (infants to adults).  We gathered toys for the children that are receiving Occupational, Physical or Speech therapy through their Early Intervention Program.

It’s amazing to see all these charities’ accomplishments throughout the city.

If you would like to donate or learn more about Christmas Charities Year Round or The Arc, please visit the following links: https://christmascharitiesyearround.org/ and https://www.hsvarc.org/.

Now, more than ever, MSBA is committed to support and serve the local community.

MSBA Donates

Tennessee Valley BRAC Committee

We supported Team Redstone as a “Presenter” on the Tennessee Valley Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission Committee—a coalition of nine communities in North Alabama and four in Tennessee. In collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD) to reorganize its installation and infrastructure to more efficiently and effectively support its forces, increase operational readiness, and facilitate new ways of doing business across the service, MSBA’s President made twenty presentations to Federal Civil Servants, Military, and contractor staff whose positions were moved to Redstone Arsenal, AL as part of BRAC 2005.

Village of Promise

MSBA helps the Village of Promise in Huntsville, AL, as a member of the Advisory Council and through Fundraising Support and Contributions. The Village of Promise provides different programs and enrichment activities for children in and beyond the classroom, from birth through college, with the purpose of eradicating generational poverty.

John Stallworth Scholarship Foundation

As a member of the Board of Directors we contribute to the John Stallworth Scholarship Foundation at Alabama A&M University. The John Stallworth Foundation’s academic scholarship award is based primarily on scholastic achievement, merit, financial needs, and evidence of leadership.

Huntsville Museum of Art Foundation

Every year MSBA helps the Huntsville Museum of Art through Fundraising Support and Contributions. As a member of the Foundation Board, we help increase the Museum’s influence, presence, and permanence in the community. The nationally-accredited Museum contains thirteen galleries and holds a wide variety of exhibitions throughout the year, including prestigious traveling exhibits and the work of nationally and regionally acclaimed artists.

Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce

At the Board of Directors and through the Committee Work, we support the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/ Madison County. We want to help our community pursue business growth, promote the economic advantages of the community, and support our military and space programs.

Randolph School

As a part of the Board of Directors and the Committee Work of the Randolph School at Huntsville, AL, MSBA has been supporting the School since 2006. We support the Randolph School because we share the same conviction: students are worlds of potential, not just receivers of instruction. Nurturing this potential means educating the whole child and surrounding every student with extraordinary opportunities, in academics, athletics, and arts, to explore possibilities, to uncover talents, and to let those talents excel.

American Heart Association

We also are concerned about our community health. Therefore, the American Heart Association is our first initiative to support people’s wellness and health. We are committed to help the American Heart Association through our contributions and sponsorship. It is important to us to support the nation’s oldest, largest voluntary organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular diseases.

MSB Analytics a sponsor of NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Human Exploration Rover

It is important to us show that we care about our children, and we want to help them to pursue their dreams. That’s why we sponsor the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, where High School and College/University students are challenged to design, construct, and test technologies for mobility devices to perform in different environments like planets, moons, asteroids, and comets with the purpose of exploring them in future missions.
